A recent UNECE/FAO study on Potential Sustainable Wood Supply revealed that a considerable amount of wood (up to 230 Mio. m3/a) could be additionally supplied in Europe from various sources, if vigorous action is taken. 28/09/2017

News SIMWOOD final conference, Paris (FR). From October 12 to 13, 2017, the members of the EU research project SIMWOOD will present their findings of four years of region-based research action and trans-European cooperation at a final conference in Paris, France. The SIMWOOD project aims to increase the mobilisation of wood from forests and woodlands in Europe. The project reaches out to stakeholders and regional initiatives with the aim of engaging and mobilising forest owners and practitioners, promoting collaborative forest management and ensuring sustainable forest functions. 28/09/2017
